CAVALOR ARTI BASE® - Premium Line
To keep joints in good condition
Indication for use
CAVALOR Arti Base contains the nutrients to keep joints in good condition. It is indicated for use in those cases when it is not necessary to use products with anti-inflammatory properties for the joint:
- young growing horses
- old horses with chronic joint problems
- after a treatment of Cavalor Arti Matrix
- sport horses in periods of hard work (ex. competition season)
For optimal nutritional support, it is recommended to administer Cavalor Arti Matrix® the first 2 months when acute or severe chronic problems occur.
Composition of the product
Cavalor Arti Base contains glucosamine's, chondroitin sulphate, microcrystalline hydroxy apetite compound (MCHC) and MSM and those minerals important in joint health like cupper, zinc and manganese. It also contains vitamin C.

Mix in the daily feed
- Ponies: 25 g (measure in pail = 25 g)
- Sport horses: 50 g

FAQ
When should I use Cavalor Arti Base ?
Cavalor Arti Base helps maintaining strong bones and keeps joints flexible in horses during the growth phase, intensive workouts and older horses. Cavalor Arti Base can be used when inflammation isn't present (please note that this isn't for very active sport horses). Young horses will benefit Cavalor Arti Base as it provides important nutrients for the critical phase of joint development. Cavalor Arti Base also helps to maintain joint/bone health in older horses. Cavalor Arti Base can be administered for a minimum of two months between Cavalor Arti Matrix intervals to help maintain joint support.
Should I provide extra Hyaluronic Acid if my horse uses Cavalor Arti Base supplement?
It is not necessary to provide additional Hyaluronic Acid. Cases where the horse is suffering from painful joints, we recommend Cavalor Arti Matrix as this formula is more concentrated than Cavalor Arti Base. Cavalor Arti Matrix is especially designed to meet the increased nutritinonal needs of active horses during periods of high intensity exercise and/or horses with acute or chronic inflammation of joints.
Can I supply Cavalor Arti Base to a foal with swollen joints as a result to the growing process?
Cavalor Arti Base can be safely used as a supplement for foals and young horses who appear to have swollen legs. Cavalor Breeding may be used when there are indications that the overall growth of a healthy horse should be supported with additional nutrients.
When should I use Cavalor Arti Base and when should I use Cavalor Arti Matrix?
Cavalor Arti Matrix is a concentrated formula especially designed to meet the increased nutritional need of horses with joint inflammation and horses which endure high intensive exercises like competition horses. Cavalor Arti Matrix is usually given during selected periods of time (4 weeks) when horses have a high risk of joint inflammation. In general, Cavalor Arti Base is often provided between dose intervals of Cavalor Arti Matrix to provide the joints with a maintenance level of nutritional support. Cavalor Arti Base and Arti Matrix can safely be given to horses with joint problems.
